Welcome to Ellerbe Springs Inn & Campground. Nestled within 43 lush acres waiting for you to explore all of its beauty, history & nature. Upon entering the property you are greeted by its landmark horse and wagon in the circular driveway that leads to a grand wrap-a-round porch outfitted with multiple areas and a swing for you to relax and enjoy spotting hummingbirds, butterflies, deer, and other furry friends on grounds. Once you enter the historic inn (opened originally as Ellerbe's first hotel in 1906) you will be transported and delighted to experience the calm and beauty evoked by the Victorian era decor. Guests are often enthralled by the era antiques sprinkled throughout the rooms and the common areas. Each room was individually decorated and painstakingly appointed with lovely period touches to ensure your stay is one of a kind and unforgettable.

 

Staying at the Inn is an experience in itself, but there is much more. After settling in explore our walking trails where you may spot a deer or two and an array of vegetation from muscadine grapes & blackberries, to wild mushrooms. Not in the mood for walking trails? Bring your fishing pole and enjoy the afternoon fishing in the stocked, 5 acre, catch & release lake. Ever thought about camping in an RV? You can visit our 14-site RV campground - Camp Henning - (once owned by the Boy Scouts of America) with full hookups- water, electric, sewage and plan your next camping adventure with us too.

​Just a few minutes off of highway 73 the Inn offers both convenience and seclusion. Only 10 minutes from DeWitt's Outdoor Sports, 12 minutes to Colemans Creek Long Range Shooting,15 minutes to Rockingham, home of the Rockingham Speedway, 40 minutes from the North Carolina Zoo and 90 minutes from Charlotte & Raleigh.
